Privacy Policy

Stovd ("we", "us") helps you cook from what you already have. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using Stovd you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account data — email address and authentication identifiers (via Supabase, Apple, or Google sign-in).
• Profile & preferences — name, age, gender, height, weight, activity level, dietary preferences, allergens, and cuisine preferences you provide during onboarding. Used to personalize meal suggestions and portioning.
• Content you create — pantry items, shopping lists, recipes you add or import, and photos you scan.
• Usage data — feature usage counters used to enforce free-tier limits and improve the app.
• Purchase data — subscription status from Apple, Google, or Stripe (via RevenueCat). We never receive your full payment card details.

2. How we use your information

• Provide core features: pantry tracking, AI recipe & meal-plan generation, photo scanning, shopping lists.
• Personalize suggestions to your dietary preferences and allergens.
• Enforce free vs. premium usage limits.
• Maintain security and prevent abuse.

3. AI processing

Photos you scan and text you import are sent to AI providers (e.g. Google Gemini) solely to extract recipe and food data and return it to you. We do not use your personal content to train third-party models.

4. Recipe corpus

Recipes you import or add may be added to our shared recipe library to improve recommendations for all users. Stored recipe entries are not linked to your public identity. You can request removal (see Section 8).

5. Third-party services

We use Supabase (database/auth/hosting), Google Gemini (AI), RevenueCat, Apple, Google and Stripe (payments), and Firecrawl/Apify (recipe import). Each processes data only as needed to provide their function.

6. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and content are deleted. See our Data Deletion page.

7. Children

Stovd is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Delete your account in-app (Settings → Delete account) or email us. We respond within 30 days.
